Driver Genius Professional Edition is a professional device drivers management tool with backup and restore functions for all your installed drivers.

The application consists of many useful functions for PC hardware driver management. Beside being able to backup and restore drivers, it can also update and uninstall certain drivers that are installed on your operating system. The LiveUpdate feature allows you to connect to the publisher's driver database. You can use this feature to find new versions of the drivers you have installed on your operating system.

Once the application has been installed, it will perform a system scan in order to identify the drivers on your system. The resulted report will display all the drivers found, divided into drivers out of date and updated drivers. You can select which outdated drivers to update manually or automatically.

Pluses: The user interface is easy to use. You can simply select which type of drivers (sound card, processor, display, etc.) you want to backup, and the application does the job for you. It's also possible to select individual drivers for backing up by selecting their corresponding checkbox before the actual backup process.

Drawbacks / flaws: The backup/restore processes are quite slow on some machines (it depends on your hardware).

In conclusion: The overall performance is fine: the program does a good job in backing up/updating/restoring drivers.
